Zhou Zhongwen was born in Shanghai in 1953, with ancestral roots in Wuxi, Jiangsu, and is the master of Changle Studio. He works in calligraphy and seal carving and paints figures, landscapes, flowers and birds, insects and animals. He is best known for his ink-wash figure paintings, above all his portraits of Jigong, and for his Slender Gold calligraphy.
